My First Eye Exam: What to Expect?
So, you have scheduled your first eye exam. Congratulations! We would like to welcome you to our family! I’m sure you are wondering, what comes next?
Prepare! You’ve made an appointment for a reason. Be prepared with a list of questions for Dr. Bush. Make sure you know you and your family’s medical and vision history. Be open and honest about why you are here for a visit.
Testing! Now that our front desk has all your information, your examination will begin with one of our skilled technicians. A few preliminary tests will determine how clearly you can see. The following tools to assess your vision may be used: letter charts, lights, and color patterns. Next, you will meet with our amazing optometrist, Dr. Bush, and he will finish your examination. Dr. Bush will check the internal and external health of your eyes and also determine whether or not you could benefit from vision correction.
Review! Following your eye exam, Dr. Bush will review the results of all of the tests and provide an assessment of your vision, preventative measures, and recommendations for treatment if necessary.
Frame Selection! Now this is the fun part! We have TONS of frames to choose from. Our staff will help you find the perfect frame to fit your face and fit your lifestyle.
Now that you know the basics, it’s time to call our office to schedule your eye exam. We’re happy to answer any questions you have and look forward to seeing you soon!
